Complete Restricted Barber - 1200 Hours
Barbering offers a career filled with lifelong opportunities, financial stability and flexible schedules.
Although the primary focus of the restricted barber program is hair cutting, this comprehensive course includes the majority of salon services. The curriculum includes: Men’s & Women’s Hair Cutting, Sanitation, Law, Salesmanship, Management, Hair Care, Shaving & Facial Hair Design, Men’s Facial Massage & Treatments, Shampooing & Scalp Treatment, Implements, Tools & Equipment, Men’s Hairpieces, Properties & Disorders of the Hair and Scalp.
According to the United States Department of Labor, the employment of Barbers is projected to grow 10 to 20% between 2008-2010. With an average income of $46,770 per year, (not including tips) you can safely and confidently leave behind the idea that you will never get there without going to a traditional college.
The demand for professional, licensed Barbers is growing each year, Traditional Barber Shops, Spas, Salons, and Resort Hotels are all in need of Barbers. You may find yourself in a private Men’s Club, Cruise Ship, or owning your own Barber Shop one day. Whatever your path may be, theoretical training and practical experience, real-world applications of your training, knowledge, and skills, will validate your great and exciting choice to enter into this ever-growing, ever-changing, always exciting, multi-billion dollar industry.
Students must have a high school diploma, GED or ATB test. Students must enroll one week prior to their start date. Orientation is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on your start date. Students must attend Saturdays, unless they have proof of a prior work commitment.

Class Schedules: Daytime @ 32 Hours per week

Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Class Schedules: Early Evening @ 26 Hours per week
Takes 38 Weeks or 9.5 months to
complete
Monday through Thursday: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday: Off
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Class Schedules: Part-Time Evening @ 22.00 Hours per week
Takes 46 Weeks or 11.5
months to complete
Monday through Thursday: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Grading Procedure: Students will have written oral, and performance exams. Exams will be given after each unit of study to assess the student’s knowledge in theory. Practical and Clinical work will be graded based on the services performed. Each student will be required to pass an exit exam before graduating.
Theory Work & Practical Work will be graded according to the
following scale:
A = 95-100 Excellent
B = 85-94 Good
C= 75-84 Satisfactory
D= 70-74 Unsatisfactory
F= 0-59 Failing
